Imodium Loperamide HCl 2mg Hard Capsules for Diarrhea contain the active substance loperamide (loperamide hydrochloride), which allows the symptoms of both acute and chronic diarrhea to be treated safely, quickly, and effectively. The capsules normalize excessive bowel activity, so that your stool becomes firmer again. The capsules also counteract dehydration caused by the loss of fluids and electrolytes. The transit-normalizing and antisecretory effect ensures that the symptoms of diarrhea disappear.Instructions for Use Do not use Imodium for more than two days without medical advice. Never use more than 8 capsules per 24 hours. An adult can start treatment with 2 capsules. If necessary, subsequently 1 capsule after each subsequent soft stool. Children aged 8 years and older start with 1 capsule. For children, maintain a maximum dosage of 3 capsules per 20 kilograms.
