Trekpleister Anti-insect with 20% DEET protects you for an average of 4 hours against bites from house mosquitoes, Anopheles mosquitoes (carriers of parasites that can cause malaria), and Aedes mosquitoes (carriers of the yellow fever virus), and 2 hours against tick bites (Ixodes). The protection time against some aggressive tropical tick species may be shorter. Travelers abroad are advised to take into account the guidelines of the National Coordination Centre for Travel Advice (LCR) when using this product.How do you use Trekpleister 20% DEET Anti-Insect Spray?Apply the product sparingly and carefully to exposed body parts. Distribute the product evenly over your skin. Hold the pump at least 15 cm from the skin. Wear long trousers and a long-sleeved shirt. Do not apply the product to areas where frequent bending of the skin is normal due to joint flexion; for example, do not apply it to the backs of the knees or elbows. Do not apply under clothing. To protect your face from bites, first apply some product to the palm of your hand and then spread it over your face. Do not spray directly onto your face. When using the product in combination with sunscreen, apply the cream first and wait 30 minutes before applying the product. Active ingredients: N,N-DIETHYL-M-TOLUAMIDE (DEET) 19.4% W/W (CAS 134-62-3), ETHANOL 80% W/W (CAS 64-17-5). Legal instructions for use: Use as a repellent for mosquitoes and ticks in humans. Use of the product is not recommended for vulnerable groups, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women. Do not use on children under 13 years of age. Do not use more than once a day.
