Trekpleister 50% DEET Anti-Insect Lotion protects for an average of 10 hours against bites from house mosquitoes and Anopheles mosquitoes (carriers of parasites that can cause malaria), 9 hours against Aedes mosquitoes (carriers of the yellow fever virus), and 5 hours against tick bites (Ixodes). The protection time against some aggressive tropical tick species may be shorter. Travelers abroad are advised to take into account the guidelines of the National Coordination Centre for Travel Advice (LCR) when using this product.How to use Trekpleister 50% DEET Anti-Insect Lotion?Apply the product sparingly and carefully to exposed body parts. Distribute the product evenly over your skin. Wear long trousers and a long-sleeved shirt. Do not apply the product to areas where frequent bending of the skin is normal due to joint flexion; for example, do not apply it to the backs of the knees or elbows. Do not apply under clothing. To protect your face from bites, first apply some product to the palm of your hand and then spread it over your face. When using the product in combination with sunscreen, apply the cream first and wait 30 minutes before applying the product. Active ingredients: N,N-DIETHYL-M-TOLUAMIDE (DEET) 48.5% W/W (CAS 134-62-3), ETHANOL 50.0% W/W Legal instructions for use: Use as a repellent for mosquitoes and ticks in humans. Use of the product is not recommended for vulnerable groups, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women. Do not use on children under 18 years of age. Do not use more than once a day.
